What is Cell Disruption® Technology

Cell Disruption® technology is a mechanical and physical cell disruption process designed to break the tough cell walls of Arthrospira platensis (spirulina) in a controlled way — without the use of chemical solvents or high heat.

By opening the cell wall, the technology releases the intracellular compounds such as:

How Cell disruption® technology works

  1. Raw spirulina biomass is harvested from controlled cultivation.

  2. Cells are subjected to a special disruption method (e.g. pressure, shear forces, microcavitation), gently breaking the outer membrane.

  3. The bioactive compounds are released into a stable liquid medium, preserving their natural structure.

  4. The resulting extract is filtered, standardized, and stabilized, ready to be used in:

    • Nutraceutical products (sprays, functional beverages)

    • Cosmetics (serums, sprays, creams)
